"Iron Man 3" Goes To North Carolina


With "The Avengers" having wrapped filming, eyes are now turning towards Marvel Studios' next effort - "Iron Man 3" which is already scheduled for release on May 3rd 2013.

Now, Latino Review reports that according to a source of theirs it's "90% likely" that the Shane Black-directed sequel will be shot in the Port City of Wilmington, North Carolina. The production would take up over ten sound stages at the Screen Gems studios with shooting to commence in June next year.

Numerous films and shows have been shot in the area including "A Walk To Remember," "Blue Velvet," "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles," "Cape Fear," "The Crow," "The Jackal," "Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events" and shows like "Eastbound and Down" and "Dawson's Creek".
