"Frankie & Alice" scribes Marko King, Mary King and Jonathan Watters are re-teaming to pen an American remake of the 2006 Taiwanese supernatural thriller "Silk" for Gold Circle Films reports Heat Vision.
The original followed a group of ghost hunters who capture the spirit of a child in an apartment and the detective charged with discovering clues to the ghost's identity and demise. The remake is said to depart from the original, so it's more a 're-conception' than a remake.
The tone of the remake is said to be "Michael Crichton meets The Sixth Sense". Rob Cowan and Paul Brooks will produce.
