Meet The Cast Of "Dark Shadows"

In a clever move to contain the PR damage made last week by long-range paparazzi shots of Johnny Depp in very strange looking white makeup, Warners has released the first official photo from their upcoming film adaptation of classic gothic soap opera "Dark Shadows" via EW.

The photo shows that Depp's Barnabas Collins look actually borrows heavily from original star Jonathan Frid's. In fact the photo is Burton's recreation of a group photograph of the cast of the original series and was taken on the day before principle photography began at one of the only times the cast was all present at the same time.

From left to right:

Helena Bonham Carter as Dr. Julia Hoffman: A prim and proper psychiatrist who has taken up residence with the Collins family to care for their troubled youngest boy.

Chloe Grace Moretz as Carolyn Stoddard: Daughter of Elizabeth (Michelle Pfeiffer) and a typical early-1970s human teenager, but one with her own peculiarities.

Eva Green as Angelique Bouchard: The villain, a witch and former lover of Barnabas who cursed him to be a vampire. Her life’s mission is to destroy the Collins family.

Gulliver McGrath as David Collins: Son of Roger (Jonny Lee Miller). Lonely, confused, and neglected by his pompous father, he claims to see dead people.

Bella Heathcote as Vitoria Winters: David’s new governess whom becomes swept up in the drama thanks to her resemblance to Barnabas' lost love.

Johnny Depp as Barnabas Collins: An 18th century gentleman transformed into a vampire and buried for in a tomb for two centuries. He emerges in 1972 to seek out his descendants.

Ray Shirley as Mrs. Johnson: The mostly blind, mostly deaf maid, who has been with the family for decades and decades.

Jackie Earle Haley as Willie Loomis: The alcoholic groundskeeper who cares little for his job anymore.

Jonny Lee Miller as Roger Collins: The scion of the once-great Collins family which is now in its nadir. He's a poor manager of whatever wealth the family retains.

Michelle Pfeiffer as Elizabeth Collins Stoddard: The matriarch, the keeper of the Collins history and a fierce protector of what remains of her family.
