New poster for Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol

There's lots of Tom Cruise in the new poster for Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol. No sign of Jeremy Renner, though...

A couple of things strike us about this new poster for Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol, this winter’s upcoming blockbuster sequel.

Firstly, it downplays that it’s a Mission: Impossible film. Secondly, it doesn’t put Tom Cruise’s name on it (although, granted, there’s a mighty big picture of him). And thirdly, it’s doesn’t mention any of the rest of the cast.

The latter is perhaps the more potent point here, as this was the film that was restructured, we hear, to give Cruise a co-star, after Knight & Day brought into question his box office powers. Thus, Jeremy Renner has been recruited, and there’s still talk that this Mission: Impossible movie may see the mantle passed over.

Of course, this might just be ridiculous over-analysis of a poster, too. Either way, the new poster is here, the film is out in December, and we can’t wait to see it.
