Hot off of the global success of Fast Five, filmmaker Justin Lin and his new production company, Barnstorm Pictures, have sealed a two-year first-look deal with Universal Pictures for a slate of upcoming projects, including The Fast and The Furious 6.

According to a studio press release, Lin's development slate includes: the aforementioned Fast 6, set to open May 24, 2013; the espionage action flick Leading Man; an unnamed sci-fi thriller from director Robert Glickert; and the Untitled 442 Project about a WWII Japanese American battalion that is the most decorated unit in American history.

"The success that we've shared making the last three Fast films has created a strong bond between my team and many at Universal," said Lin in a statement. "When the opportunity came up to house Barnstorm at the studio where I honed my skills, I saw the chance to develop innovative projects with talented writers and directors who need to have their voices heard."

Lin is also attached to a number of projects set-up elsewhere, including: directing Terminator 5; a live-action adaptation of the manga Lone Wolf and Cub; a western titled Brigands of Rattleborge; and We Disappear, a psychological drama based on Scott Heim's novel.
