Fancy that ... a good rumor becomes fruitful!
We kicked off the week with an article that posited Patrick Wilson's tentative involvement in Ridley Scott's PROMETHEUS. The short and simple of it...it's no rumor!
Substantiated by The Playlist, Wilson (seen right) will indeed join Scott and company in his long awaited return to the cosmos. No specifics on Wilson's role were given (surprised?), but his inclusion alone, combined with the rest of the ensemble, can only mean good things.
Speaking of the cast, it features Noomi Rapace, Michael Fassbender, Charlize Theron, Logan Marshall-Green, Idris Elba, Ben Foster, Guy Pearce, Rafe Spall, Sean Harris and Katie Dickie. That's an international roster of top-flight talent right there. June can't come soon enough.
But back to Wilson for a minute. If you haven't recognized, dude's a terrific actor...killing it in things like HARD CANDY, LITTLE CHILDREN, WATCHMEN, INSIDIOUS, and many more. Not to toot the old horn, but I was fortunate enough to meet the gentleman at the wrap party for INSIDIOUS. And he was just that, a true gentleman. No pretension...just kickin' it in jeans and a t-shirt, sipping a Corona.
PROMETHEUS, still filming, is due June 8th.
