Bruce Willis set to join G.I. Joe 2?

Bruce Willis is set for a busy few months, as he looks set to add another film to his slate: G.I. Joe: Retaliation.



Every time we speculate that the cast for G.I. Joe 2 is locked and loaded, along comes another name to prove us wrong. And this one’s a biggie: Bruce Willis is apparently in negotiations to star in the movie, in the role of General Joe Colton. That’s the original G.I. Joe, the man who puts the whole strike team together.



The film, now officially under the title G.I. Joe: Retaliation, is going before the cameras shortly for director Jon M. Chu (Justin Bieber: Never Say Never), ahead of its release on 29th June 2012.



Assuming he takes the role, it might just be busy times for Willis, too. He’s earmarked for The Expendables 2, which director Simon West is shooting from October. And there’s still the possibility that Die Hard 5 will get before the cameras in the next six months.
