Someone just smurf me now. Deadline reports that Sony Pictures has set an August 2nd 2013 release date for a sequel to "The Smurfs".
Despite having only opened the weekend before last, the live-action meets CG adaptation of the classic 80's cartoon has taken in $135 million worldwide so far and opened at number one in many international markets.
At this point the only person locked down to return is the film's producer Jordan Kerner.
