Ready for another Jason Statham movie? Here's the poster for Safe, one of two films he's got due before the end of the year...



2011 has been the year of Jason Statham. It’s not necessarily that he’s made the best films of the year, or his career. It’s just that he’s got so many of them coming out.



We’ve already had The Mechanic and Blitz hit cinema screens, with The Killer Elite, opposite Clive Owen and Robert De Niro, still to come. There’s also another of his films, 13, that’s sat on the shelf, awaiting release, and he provided a voice for Gnomeo & Juliet, too.



But before the end of the year, there’s a further project we can expect to see.



It’s called Safe, and it's the new movie from director Boaz Yakin. Yakin previously directed Remember The Titans and Uptown Girls, as well as tackling script duties for the likes of Prince Of Persia: The Sands Of Time and – yes! – Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights.



Anyway, in Safe, The Statham has a few jobs on his hands. He has to rescue a young girl who has been abducted by the Triads. Then, he’s got to outwit the Russian Mafia. And he’s also got to avoid some corrupt officials. A piece of piss for the man, surely.



Amongst the cast? There’s Robert Burke, who played RoboCop in RoboCop 3, along with Chris Sarandon and James Hong.
